Updating navman s30
There is currently a limit of 12.000 custom POI's on the Navman S series. I have an old NAVMAN X11-15302 and would like to know if I can download the last trip the NAVMAN was used with. After applying some write blocking to my USB port this device was accessible as a mass storage device allowing me to image it with Encase. The next step I took was to track down and consult a manual for the device in order to establish its capabilities.I expect all devices to have saved Home, Favourites and Recent destinations and this device was no exception. Will never buy a navman in my life again and will never recommend. As for navigation, not knowing Melbourne very well, I get put in some very odd locations trying to get around. Stupid road selection, so hard to operating feel like first version touch screen in 1980s. Vowed NEVER to get another Navman following the multiple problems with the first...despite being serviced a number of times.my daughter and I were convinced by a salesperson at DIck Smiths that the 400 LMT was a fantastic and improved model...second time my daughter used hers, just white lines, would not turn off and after pressing the reset, it went blank and totally died..still working...however, voice over is too late for turns, takes forever to pick up satellite and sometimes not at all... Maps Ok but if there is a side road parallel, it always thinks I'm on it.
This unit was advertised as having Free Lifetime Maps. Speed limits in country are way out, automatically assumes 110km/h. It is not capable of charging and running at same time.
The slim and light Navman S30 3D is the entry level satellite navigation system to the new Navman S-Series.
